Recently a group of Queensland La Sallians ventured down south to Kincumber, NSW for the National Camp La Salle. Being run by Melbourne, it was a little different from what we were used to, but plently of fun and a great success all the same. After the 12 hour drive down, all were exausted and in need of a big stretch. Didn't take long for the Melbourners to tag us as the 'Crazy Queenslanders'. With four days full of full on early wake ups, late nights and activities, including triathlon type activities, scavenger hunts, volleyball and assorted games, the crew were ready to get some well earned sleep. A big thank you to the people of La Salle Melbourne for organizing the event and inviting us along. Many friendships were made and many happy memories created.
In a quick note. The running of the LSQ website has been passed over to me, so be on the lookout for more frequent updates in the future.

July '06:
Queensland’s first Fish La Salle was a huge success. 16 participants and 6 Leaders set off on Saturday morning to a cold winter’s day from Redcliffe to the warmth of the Sunshine Coast. An hour later we had arrived at our camp sight and were soon off and fishing. After our first attempt and no luck or fish, the group decided that some beach footy and cricket was in order. Late in the afternoon after our sausage sizzle the group tried a new spot on the Maroochy River, however at 11pm at night with only a few small fish caught, we gathered around the camp fire for warmth and jokes Br Bill told some Cracker which made one participant fall of his seat. At 1am the last few hopeful fishermen decided to call it quits for the night and head back to camp. Early Sunday morning campers woke bright and early at 8am, some were brighter than others, some were complaining about the cold but I said that we didn’t pour that much ice down their sleeping bag. Later that day we gave the first spot one more try with little better luck the group went back to Have a BBQ lunch and more footy. Although few fish were caught participants all agreed that the weekend was great.
